Thor

On Saturday, thanks to Mum who was on leave, we manage to sneak to the cinema and watch Thor while she help take care of the notti Zai…

Thor

Well I think the storyline was just simple.. I wouldn’t say it was a fantastic movie, but I was watchable.. the effects were great… just the storyline was really simple.. I really thought a war would breakout but it didn’t.. it was merely his “growing up” and understanding what it takes to be a king…

still it was great to be able to go to the theaters again.. it has been a long long time…

127 Hours

127 Hours
127 Hours

Manage to catch this movie with Chubby last thursday… I went into the movie not knowing what the show is about.. but I must say I walked out of the theater glad that I have watch this movie..

The story is about how a man is being trapped by a boulder in the canyon and have to amputate his right arm using a blunt little knife and survive the whole ordeal of 127 hours… it was really gross to see how he tries to amputate his arm with the knife.. and all the breaking of bones and pulling of veins… seriously, I dare not look at the screen when it happened.. i just ask Chubby why is the scene taking so long and so he explained *puke*

but its really a touching movie.. especially when you know its base on a true life story… throughout the whole period when he was trapped.. he kept having flashbacks of his life… how he was being too conceited and all… how he doesn’t spend enough time with his parents.. and maybe if he had picked up the phone call that his mum made, he would have suffer lesser….

along the way, he has already start hallucinating.. how could a normal human being not, in such a circumstances…. and the last thing he saw was a young little boy… his “vision” of his son.. he has no girlfriend then.. but he just saw a “vision” of this son.. and dunno is it because of this, it spurs him to try to break free… and that is when the amputation started….

I love that scene… not the amputation.. but the one where he “vision” his future son… I miss Zai very badly when I saw that scene… oh man.. i feel like crying now… i guess for alot of people, your family.. especially your fruits of your love are what spurs you on in life… I was glad Zai came into our life… I love him tonnes!!!

My Sister’s Keeper (Movie)

My Sister's Keeper The Movie

Finally I get to watch this movie on HBO last Monday when I was down on MC… Wanted to watch it when it was in the theaters, but I was pregnant then, Chubby won’t let me watch it… so until now I finally am able to catch it on TV…

They changed the ending as compare to the book… of course, movies can never beat the book in terms of story development and all.. and I also prefer the book ending as compare to the movie.. more impact then the movie itself..

Watching the movie, I was once again reminded very strongly of not to assume what you are doing for the others is what is best for them… The mum insists that both her daughters goes through all the surgery in order to prolong the elder sister’s life…. she thought that was what is good for her daughter… its what she thought…

after the past few months, I also strongly learn the lesson of not just standing at your own point of view and think that what you do is for the best of others… always ask what people want… don’t assume…

Ip Man 2

Ah Jo ask me to continue to count my blessings.. so here is one.. I think I'm fortunate to be able to go to movies with just Hubb and me when Zaizai is still so young… think the week before we went to watch Iron Man 2 and today we went to watch Ip Man 2…

Seriously I tot it was a pretty good show.. maybe with the mother tongue uproar this few weeks on our little island, I felt that we should always preserve our roots and culture.. thats why I think Ip Man 2 touches my heart…

Seriously I don't use to think Donnie Yen was a good actor.. cos his basically expressionless… but I think he fit the character of Ip Man… I don't Ip Man in real person.. but given the character potrayed in the movie, I would think that he is a man who is very cool when he fights… and doesn't really give much of an expression… which I think Donnie Yen makes the character just look cool and good…

Will there be an Ip Man 3?

On a side note, Keitsu wish that she can go watch Robin Hood next week… ermmmm… she is asking too much? 😛
