Some of you know I popped last week. Introducing our latest addition to our family.
If you read my blog regularly, you know I use nicknames for my kids. It started with the boy whom we nickname Zai Zai because we really can’t think of an English name that we like. And since Chubby is Cantonese, we decide to use the direct Cantonese translation. So when its the girl turn, naturally she is Loi Loi. For this one, I really didn’t know how to nickname him/her. Again, we didn’t scan for the gender during the pregnancy and we only know of it after he was born. I thought if it is a girl again, then she will be named “Mui Mui”. But if it is a boy “Dee Dee” or “Sai Lou”. But I’m not satisfied with both because the kids call their Dad “DeeDee”, which has the same spelling just different intonation.
So why TT? Well, firstly TT sounds a little like Dee Dee. And to avoid confusion of DD, I decide to use T instead. Another reason is also this little boy is quite a chesty crier. We are currently facing some breastfeeding issues because of his crying. And TT is the symbol for crying. I hope he will outgrow this crying soon, but nonetheless, we can remember how a chesty crier he WAS. So his little nickname shall be TT. (Chubby has another nickname for him which can be short form to TT also. I shan’t say what is the nickname as its quite “bad”.)
TT Boy, Mummy hope that you will learn to latch well soon so you can grow up healthier. The whole family love you!
