This week Play@SG is a small playground tuck in the middle of the bustling Bugis.
Near to the famous Guan Yin Temple
269 Queen Street
Nearest MRT: Bugis
This playground is really small but there are some rare play factors. Like the hopscotch shown in the pic.
Wheels are common in HDB playground, but I rarely see this transparent kind. Or maybe I have not seen enough of HDB playground. There is also a convex mirror which the kids enjoy looking at.
We have been there a few times, most of the time it’s empty, occasionally you get one or two kid. I guess this is probably due to the area being an older estate and the playground is not really that fun for older kids.
The kids hands and feet were really black after the play. I guess without much people playing its natural that the area will collect more dirt. I will give it a 1.5 out of 5 rating for the cleanliness.
This playground is really suitable for young toddlers. There is no challenging structures for the older kids.
The block just in front of the playground has a shop that sells cheap baby clothes. It’s those normal plain romper that babies can wear at home. The last time we were there they were selling baby to toddler pajamas pants at $1 a piece.
There is also a couple of stores that sells dried seafood products. You can get the dried scallop there which will make the kids porridge tasty.
