Zai vocab is increasing at a great speed at his current age. And he is also learning how to string words together. Below is a list of “Sentences” he can make.
“MiMi make Milk Milk MeiMei”
I have corrected him like a thousand times that it should be “MiMi make MeiMei milk”. But he insisted on saying it that way. And he can repeat it like a few times every time he sees MeiMei’s milk bottles. Actually its not “make” but “express”, however I thought the word express may be a little difficult for him to understand so I used “make”. Hence when he sees my breast pump, he will repeat the same sentence again.
“MiMi eat Ice-Cream. DeeDee eat Chocolate”
He has a counting book with different pictures of ice-cream. Last time he will just point to the “ice-cream” pics and say “MiMi eat. DeeDee eat.” But after using the “Pororo flash card app” he learn the word ice-cream and has since form the first part of the sentence. The 2nd part happens because he was pointing to an ice-cream with chocolate fudge on it. So I told him “DeeDee eat chocolate ice-cream” (He has also learn the word chocolate from the app). But he has conveniently dropped the “ice-cream” so Daddy only eats chocolate now.
Its funny how my boy has learn the word “不要” instead of “No” or “Don’t Want”. “不要油油” simply means he doesn’t want to apply the YuYee oil on his tummy to get rid of the wind. But he also knows how to piece “不要” with other words. Like “不要 porridge”, “不要 animal” (don’t want to watch Jungle Book, wants his Maisy instead), “不要 biscuit” (every morning when he sees me eat cereal, he wants to have a share too. But he only wants the fresh milk and don’t want the cereal. So he will tell me 不要 biscuit).
“Zai throw Tiger”
That day he brought his Tigger out. And on the way home, while carrying him, I told him to hold his Tiger tight and don’t drop it. But he dropped it and thought its funny seeing me picking it up while still carrying him. So he throw a 2nd time. I scolded him but pass it back to him. And he did the 3rd time. I gave him a good scolding and Chubby actually pretend to throw Tigger away (actually we kept it). He cried. I told him he shouldn’t throw Tiger. So the next day we brought up the topic to him again by asking him where is Tiger. He replied “Zai throw Tiger”, so I asked him does he want his Tiger back? He refuses to answer us. Then on the 3rd day we took out the tiger and place it beside him just before he wakes up. When he saw Tigger he repeated “Zai throw Tiger”. So I asked him “So you know you throw Tiger. Can you throw?”. He replied with a very cute “No~”. I hope that teaches him a lesson.
“I Love DeeDee. I Love MiMi.”
Somehow he have to say DeeDee first and prompted then he will say MiMi. *pout*
Well, these are the few sentence I can remember at the present moment. He is definitely getting more vocal. He is able to express his thoughts nowadays. Asking us to help him do things. If he is able to say the word he will say it. Example: “Take Plate”, “Maisy Mouse”, “Lion King”, “Playground”, “Brush Teeth”. If he is unable to articulate, he will bring you or the object to you and say “MiMi Help”. Arhh~ he is in such a “cute” stage now. 🙂
